Anni Pohto: Sharing my live recording experience at Abbey Road

In this presentation, Anni Pohto will preview some of her unreleased tracks and video footage that will be part of her upcoming studio live album recorded with her band at Abbey Road Studios in London. Anni will also share some detailed stories about her experience as the first Finnish female solo artist to record at Abbey Road.

For knowledge sharing part of the session, Anni and her recording/mixing engineer Henry Kaprali will share their journey into Dolby Atmos as a tool for creating the next level of sound experiences (from the floor of studio 2 at Abbey Road to headphone mixing to Genelec’s immersive setup and the planned delivery to audiences). Driven by a shared passion for making songs hit for a wide range of audiences, they walk through the creative development, technical challenges, and key lessons learned from bringing immersive audio into their workflow.
