What happens when a machine enters the studio, the stage, or the writer’s room?

At Art, Artists & AI, a panel of artists and AI specialists gathers to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping creative work across disciplines. From visual arts and storytelling to design and moving images, the discussion dives into how AI is expanding artistic possibilities while raising urgent questions about authorship, authenticity, and value.

Some see AI as a new kind of collaborator, others as a disruptor that demands caution. But when the truth refuses to be black or white, curiosity and an open mind are exactly what’s needed.

This open conversation invites the audience to reflect, react, and find their own place in the creative shift. Is AI just another tool? A threat to human imagination? Or a spark for something entirely new?

Hosted by Emma Ilves, the CEO of Helsinki Casting & Blockbusters Gang, Chair of Filmiaura and Board member of VFX Helsinki. With deep roots in film marketing and crew management, and a growing focus on AI’s role in creativity, she bridges traditional filmmaking and emerging technologies.

Featuring:
Umberto Onza, internationally awarded design leader and AI expert
Katri Manninen, Finland’s Most Artificially Intelligent Screenwriter
Taavi Vartia, a Finnish film director, screenwriter, and producer exploring the creative potential of artificial intelligence
