Riikka Mäkikoskela (FI)

Riikka Mäkikoskela is a sculptor, researcher, and arts educator pushing the boundaries of how we think, create, and relate to the world around us. With a background in fine arts and a Doctorate from Aalto University, her work explores materiality, embodiment, and alternative ways of being—both in the studio and in society.

As Aalto University’s Head of Radical Creativity, Riikka leads bold, cross-disciplinary initiatives that challenge conventional thinking and champion the power of artistic methods in shaping our future. Her sculptures and installations have been shown internationally, always inviting viewers to slow down, sense more, and question the norm.
