Oddly Finnished – AI Art Exhibition by Anttu.ai
Finland has always been a bit… different. This exhibition leans into that.
“A Celebration of Finnish Quirkiness via the Digital Eyes of Neural Brain” is the latest work from AI-specialist and photographer Anttu Koistinen (@anttu.ai). It pairs cutting-edge neural networks with the strange, beautiful contradictions that define Finnish identity.
Silent saunas. Kalevala mythology. Painfully awkward bus rides. A deep spiritual bond with nature that somehow coexists with some of the most advanced tech in Europe. Koistinen’s work doesn’t just reflect Finland—it reimagines it through the eyes of a machine.
By merging AI-generated landscapes with his photographer’s perspective, he invites a new question: Can technology actually preserve cultural quirks, rather than erase them?
This isn’t your typical art show. It’s Finland, seen through an algorithm—and it’s weirder, truer, and more familiar than you’d expect.
Open all weekend at the ODDfest Gallery (Galleria Mafka&Alakoski).
