Lotta Savolainen (FI)

Performance

Lotta Savolainen is a music industry professional who creates new spaces—particularly to recognize the value of independent artists. Throughout her career, she has worked across both major and indie labels, successfully combining roles as a musician, publicist, agent, mentor, and music journalist. Today, she works as a music journalist and afternoon host at Radio Helsinki, and serves as the artistic director of Finland’s largest showcase festival, Lost in Music.

At ODDfest, Lotta brings a timely and essential perspective. Finnish music is gaining momentum internationally, with a growing number of artists showing strong potential to break through on the global stage. But are we fully recognizing the opportunities—especially when it comes to exporting indie and self-releasing talent? Lotta’s focus is on creating space for discussion around Finland’s independent scene, highlighting the success stories that already exist, and exploring how we can build better support structures to help these artists grow internationally.

She sees ODDfest as a platform to reflect, collaborate, and imagine what’s possible for the future of music—together.
