Here’s the problem. Finland’s creative economy holds vast potential, yet contributes only 4% to GDP—well behind neighbours like the UK and Denmark.
ODDfest is our kick back; a challenge to rethink how creativity is used, not as decoration, but as a core engine for growth, innovation, and relevance. Through the event, our mission is to help position creativity as Finland’s next growth sector and, in the process, build Europe’s most forward-thinking creative platforms.

While ODDfest carries the weight of a professional platform, it’s above all a celebration of the doers and thinkers of the creative economy. From grassroots creators to institutional leaders and policymakers, ODDfest pays tribute to the full spectrum of the creative industries.
At its very core, the festival champions Finnish and Nordic talent most of all, putting them on the map and spotlighting the trends and voices defining what’s next.
Bravery Leading the Way
In 2025, we embraced chaos and acceleration and took the risk of stepping into the unknown to bring the very first ODDfest to life.
Now, we call on us all to be brave together—brave to speak out, brave to take action, brave to try, fail, learn, and improvise when needed.
This year’s theme, bravery, reflects the uncertainty of our fast-paced world and the courage it takes to adapt, create, experiment, and lead change.
